Draft Common Sense Canidates!
 Thank you for visiting Save 08.org. My name is Michael Brown, co-founder, along with Mr. Bill Goins of the "Save 08" Project. Save08.org began as a bottom up - grassroots initiative calling together not only social but also fiscal conservatives such as yourself who were displeased in the direction the 2008 Presidential Campaign was taking. Too long there had been an empty seat at the table for social and Christian conservatives who increasingly became more disenfranchised from the substantive debate relative to issues of importance to the traditional values and Christian ethic worldview.
In spite of, and much to the credit of previous organizational attempts such as Moral Majority, Christian Coalition of America and others to curb this trend, the insistence of the liberal left to impose its ideologies and value system upon those with opposite moral conscience, remains.
I have served in Washington, D.C. over the past 7 years in several capacities, much of that time as National Church Liaison and Chief House Lobbyist to the U.S. House of Representatives for The Christian Coalition of America. I vividly recalling standing in our offices, located mere blocks from the U.S. Capitol and witnessing the horrific events which unfolded on the morning of September 11, 2001. I saw the black plume of smoke against steel blue skies as I gazed in unbelief toward the moments-before attack on the Pentagon. I recall the terror etched on faces of people in the street during the mayhem to evacuate Capitol Hill. America has much to gain in lessons learned from the attacks on 9/11, but America has very much to lose if we have failed to learn those lessons.
Since early 2007, myself and Mr. Bill Goins of Kentucky; a devoted Christian husband, father and successful businessman with a tried and proven ability to motivate, educate and facilitate people to pursue their dreams and overcome great challenges have worked together co-founding the largest online campaign effort promoting Gov. Mike Huckabee as the Republican nominee for the 2008 Presidential race. .
Although, Mike didn't win the nomination, we feel through our efforts and those of countless activists comprising HucksArmy.com, many of his issues have received a hearing and resonated with Commmon Sense Americans all across the nation.
We now are garrisoning our efforts toward another great cause. Judge Roy Moore, former Justice of the state of Alabama was removed from office because of his conviction to allow a monument of the Ten Commandments to be present in his state house offices. With such a blatant attack on freedom of speech and religious liberity, we feel compelled by conviction in drafting Roy Moore to run for the office of Governor for the state of Alabama. We would like your help to assist us in placing this man of conviction and principle in office.
There are only a limited number of opportunities in life given to make a difference by making right choices. History retains a meticulously accurate ledger of events whose outcomes, good or bad, depended upon the actions either taken or not taken by those who were given the choice. Today, the two of us have chosen to embark upon making a difference by combining our voices to ensure that right choices will be made in America to preserve those values and ideals that have made America both free and good.
I invite you to join with us in our effort to recruit and prompte Judge Roy Moore as candidate for Governor of Alabama in 2010. There is too much to be forever lost by doing nothing, but by standing shoulder to shoulder in a unified effort there is much more to be gained.
